Best mooring lines designs with Calmar!

The mooring lines of FullOceans navigation buoys can now be calculated with the IALA recommended software Calmar.

FullOceans recommends CALMAR the best software for the design of your mooring lines.

CALMAR is fully adapted to FullOceans buoys, and permits to define the best mooring options according to sea conditions.

CALMAR is easy to use and available in 6 languages (French, English, German, Japanese, Spanish and Arab).

IALA had endorsed CALMAR as the leading mooring line calculation software.

Choose your FullOceans buoys model and configuration: FLC1200, FLC1500, FLC1800 or FLC2200

Enter the sea conditions: Depth, Tidal range, Max wave height, Max wind, Wave period, Current speed, Wind speed

Just read the results and get all the parameters for an optimized mooring line:

  • Mooring line length
  • Tension
  • Sinker mass
  • Buoyancy reserve
  • Freeboard
  • Swinging radius

Even compare the impact of different types of chains, or the behavior of other models of buoys. It can help you to define the best buoy and the best mooring line according to the sea conditions.

Take a look, it's so easy! Only few minutes are required for the assembly of the FLC1200 Aids to Navigation Special Mark buoy from FullOceans. The FLC1200 float has a diameter of 1,2 meters.

Turn the polyethylene float on the side

Insert the lifting eyes structure manufactured in galvanized steel

Start mounting the mooring point (galvanized steel)

Now the mast (height 1 meter). The FLC1200 Special Mast is available with cylindrical or conic daymark.

Too easy ...

The cast iron ballasts (3 for the FLC1200 buoy)

Done!

Your FLC1200 Special Mark buoy is ready, just add the St Andrew Cross topmark and a marine lantern if needed!

For the FLC1500 navigation buoy, the principle is the same. The only change is the number of cast iron ballasts: 5 of them are required.
